Here’s what makes your home an ENERGY STAR qualified home:

  • Increased attic insulation to keep heat from escaping through the roof.
  • ENERGY STAR® labelled windows and patio doors to reduce condensation, reflect sunlight away in the summer and keep heat in during the winter.
  • Increased wall insulation to reduce heating and cooling costs and reduce noise penetration.
  • Full height basement insulation to provide an insulation blanket for decreased heat loss and a more comfortable future living space.
  • Increased insulation in exposed floor areas to eliminate cold spots over the garage, under bay and bow windows and all other boxed out areas.
  • ENERGY STAR® labelled high efficiency furnace to reduce heating costs.
  • Heat recovery ventilation (HRV) unit to exchange fresh outside air for stale interior air while retaining the heat from the exhaust air. This provides an energy efficient, healthier home, and helps control humidity.
  • Sealed duct work to provide a more efficient flow of heating or air conditioning for a more comfortable home.
  • High efficiency lighting to reduce electrical costs.
  • ENERGY STAR® labelled appliances to reduce electrical costs.
  • Water saving toilets, shower heads and clothes washers to reduce water use.
